Other Food Pantries
St. Cletus Food Pantry
  • The pantry is located in La Grange at the Parish, and is open on Thursdays from 4-8pm.
  • They provide both non-perishable and fresh food items to those in need within the Lyons Township area, and on emergency basis to others. Families shop as often as needed to help support their food needs.
  • SJC supports them with donations of non-perishable foods 2-3 times a year, as well as during the Harvest Saturday food collection in November each year.
  • The pantry recently moved to a new space, and includes refrigerator/freezer storage as well as shelving, to provide better access to those “shopping”.
  • There are approximately 300-500+ families served each month. They will be sent home with 30+ pounds of fresh produce, dairy, meat, bread, and quality canned and dry goods.
  • The pantry accepts food donations, as well as monetary donations, which can be used to support the purchases from the Greater Chicago Food Depository (GCFD), food & diaper purchases and to help people with assistance for rent, utilities, etc.
  • They also have the Giving Tree program that provides gifts, grocery gift cards and a holiday meal to 1,200+ individuals, as well as a Thanksgiving meal distribution and each household receives a grocery gift card at Easter.
  • Volunteers are welcome to help either at the pantry or at the GCFD, and sign up is available on the St. Cletus website.
